Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
DRMC offers a cardiac rehabilitation program. A 36-visit medically supervised exercise program, cardiac rehabilitation is designed to help patients recover from heart attacks, heart-related surgery or other heart-related illness.
While a large part of the program comprises exercise, it also involves learning how to control heart disease risk factors by improving diet, quitting smoking, managing stress and lowering blood pressure if needed. A cardiac rehabilitation program’s goals are to help patients regain strength, prevent conditions from worsening and reduce the risk of future heart problems.
